What is TI-Presenter? TI-Presenter is a video interface between TI graphing calculators and video display/ recording devices such as TVs, VCRs. video cameras computer projectors with video input, etc. It allows educators to display c record images from the calculator in real time.
Why has TI developed TI-Presenter? Responding to requests from educators for new presentation tools which enhance today's classroom technology environment, Texas Instruments has developed TI-Presenter. TI-Presenter is designed to enrich classroom experiences through enabling and facilitating communication of TI graphing calculators with various video devices available to- instruction.
Will I need a special TI-Presenter for each calculator model I am using at school? There will be only one configuration of TI-Presenter that will support ALL current TI graphing calculator models.
Will I need a special calculator in order to use TI-Presenter? TI-Presenter is compatible with the existing ViewScreen TM (overhead) models of TI-73, TI-82, T-83. Tl-83 Plus, TI-84+, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89. card all TI-92 and TI-92 Plus.
Will it be easy to get maintenance upgrades for TI-Presenter if necessary? TI-Presenter is built using Flash-ROM technology that will allow the user to download new code to TI-Presenter as it becomes available, the way new software is downloaded to TI Flash calculators TI-73, TI-83 Plus, TI-84+, TI-89, and TI-92 Plus.
What is Flash and will I need additional hardware to upgrade my TI-Presenter? Flash is a technology that allows TI-Presenter software to be upgraded electronically Using TI-GRAPH LINK TM cable and the I/O port on TI-Presenter, new software can be installed on TI-Presenter.
